Mountain Road Remains Shut
The mountain road remains closed today. (Tuesday)
An inspection yesterday revealed that there are still large drifts of snow on many parts of the road.
Department of transport officials say that although the parts that you can see on web cams look clear of snow there are other parts of the road that are packed too hard to be moved by a snow plough or blade.
Further inspections will be carried out on a daily basis.
