Plans for a mountain road closure next weekend have been scrapped by Infrastructure Minister, David Cretney.
The closure was planned to allow for resurfacing work and repairs to be carried out in preparation for the TT.
The plans clashed with Ramsey's Charity fun day however, with this leading to the decision reversal.
It will however be necessary to shut the road on Friday for essential preparation works, with a full resurfacing programme scheduled for after the TT.
