The Department of Infrastructure is planning to close part of the Mountain Road today.
Yesterday, planned surveying work had to be called off because of high winds.
Workers are hoping to close the road from 9.30am until 4.30pm instead.
It will be closed between the Creg-ny-Baa and Brandywell.
