The Department of Infrastructure says the Mountain Road will remain closed this afternoon.
This morning, part of the route was closed after a wall collapse - later another section shut because of the weather.
Initially, it was thought it could reopen at lunchtime.
However, the DOI says a road closure is now in place until 4.30pm between The Bungalow and Lheaney Road in Ramsey.
