The Department of Infrastructure says the Mountain Road will remain closed until at least tomorrow night, along with two other routes on Snaefell.
Overnight snowfall has set back reopening efforts, with previously cleared areas iced over and covered in fresh snow.
The DOI says all three will stay shut until at least midnight tomorrow.
It says it will set out its plans for gritting the rest of the Island's roads later.
