The Department of Infrastructure says the Mountain Road was closed almost every five days on average last year.
A Freedom of Information request asked about road closures on the route over the course of 2025.
In its response, it said it had been fully closed for 39 days, and partly closed for another 29.
A total of eight road closures for work shut it for 36 days, while seven weather incidents shut it for 12 days altogether.
