The mountain road has been shut from Ramsey to Brandywell following an RTC this morning.
Police reports suggest the RTC was serious and involved one vehicle.
Police are appealing for further witnesses to the incident and ask anyone who has not yet done so to contact police headquarters.
The route is open from Brandywell to the Creg and remains one way.
