The Mountain Road has now been opened following a crash near Keppel Gate.
It happened at approximately 11.50am.
The whole route was closed - police said the crash and the large amounts of traffic being held at respective points around the course could have led to dangerous conditions on the roads.
The whole stretch is now open.
