Motorists are being warned to take care on the roads today, as one of the Island's largest sporting events gets underway.
The Manx Telecom Parish Walk starts from the National Sports Centre in Douglas from 8am and continues for the next 24 hours.
Thousands of walkers and their support vehicles will be on the roads along the route through each one of the Island's 17 parishes.
Those using the roads are being advised to avoid the route, and allow extra times for journeys with heavy traffic expected in some areas.
