Motorists are being warned to lock up their vehicles or risk having them targeted by thieves.
Police say drivers are regularly leaving their cars insecure – sometimes with the keys even left in the vehicle.
People are also leaving valuables on display.
The police say around this time of year when people are busy Christmas shopping it is more important than ever to be safe.
