Police Say Some Motorists Ignoring Road Closed Signs
A lot of the Island’s roads are still treacherous with the gritting teams working to make the busyest routes as safe as possible.
The minor routes and country back roads are going to be very icy however and motorists are advised to avoid them if they can.
Police have put a warning out to motorists not to chance driving on the closed roads, as asides from being illegal it’s also highly dangerous.
Driving on closed roads is extremely dangerous and also invalidates the drivers insurance. Any drivers found driving on closed roads will be robustly dealt with.
