A motorist had to be rescued this morning after their car rolled 20 metres down a steep tree lined bank.
Firefighters were called out to the Blackboards in Ballasalla at 4.53am.
The car had left the road due to the ‘adverse weather conditions’ – with the driver escaping serious injury.
Fire crews used a ladder and improvised handrail to get the motorist to safety.
