A motor cyclist suffered serious injuries in a road traffic collision yesterday evening.
At approximately 6.10pm the incident occurred on the main Douglas to Ballasalla Road, in the area of Ballawoods Straights.
It involved a white coloured Ford Transit van which was being driven by a male from Ballasalla, and a white coloured Triumph motorbike, ridden by a Port st Mary man.
As a result of the collision the motorcyclist sustained serious injuries, the van driver was uninjured.
Police are keen to speak to witnesses, with anyone holding information urged to come forward.
There is currently no update on the injured man's condition.
