A popular motorcyclist who was killed on the Mountain Road died as a result of massive blunt force trauma.
Kevin Stanley Moore from Ballaugh was involved in a road traffic collision on the Mountain Mile on May 5th.
Coroner John Needham opened and adjourned the 43-year-old’s inquest today at Douglas Courthouse.
A postmortem examination concluded he had died from severe head injuries and trauma to the left hand side of the body.
Mr Moore’s body was released to his family with the coroner expressing his condolences.
