A motion to draft amendments to the Island's Assisted Dying Bill to address concerns from the UK will be put forward in the House of Keys next week.
Douglas Central MHK Chris Thomas will move to call on the house to ask government's Chief Executive Officer to start drafting changes to the legislation - in response to issues raised about its compliance with the European Convention of Human Rights.
Last week, the UK refused to give Royal Assent to the Island's Bill, saying it needed to have details on safeguards, independent monitoring and protections required under the ECHR.
The House of Keys will sit from 10am on Tuesday, April 28 in Legislative Buildings in Douglas.
