A mother ewe has died following a sheep worrying incident on Island.
Police are investigating reports of sheep worrying in the Barnell Lane area of Patrick between Thursday, March 18 and Saturday, March 20.
According to authorities, this resulted in the ewe becoming trapped in undergrowth and couldn't be saved and the farmer is now having to hand rear a lamb.
As a result, officers are reminding all dog walkers to make sure their pets are kept under control.
