The government says progress is being made on its Violence Against Women and Girls Strategy, but insists there is still more to be done.
In the House of Keys this week, Home Affairs Minister Jane Poole-Wilson said it has introduced new laws covering deepfakes, revenge porn, non-consensual intimate images and strangulation, alongside measures to strengthen protections for victims of domestic and sexual abuse.
The strategy also focuses on education, early intervention and challenging misogyny and harmful behaviour across society.
However, Ms Poole-Wilson says that with further work, the Island can become a "beacon" for other jurisdictions in addressing violence against women and girls.
