The Infrastructure Minister says more than half of the people who took a driving test in the last 18 months failed it.
Dr Michelle Haywood was asked about the statistics of tests by Onchan MHK Rob Callister in a question for written answer.
She said that of 3,806 people who took a test, 57 per cent of them failed.
The minister says 1,652 people passed compared to 2,154 who were unsuccessful.
