In the House of Keys this week, MHK for Arbory, Castletown and Malew Tim Glover, asked if there will be enough marshals for the racing fortnight.
Dr Alex Allinson announced registrations for marshalling for this year's races open this week, giving his department more clarity on numbers.
He added due to the improved training programmes, there will be almost three times as many fully trained marshals compared to previous years.
