More than 77 dolphins spotted in one month

In October 2019 alone - 70 bottlenose dolphins, seven common dolphins, six minke whales,  four harbour porpoises and 11 risso’s dolphins were spotted in Manx waters.

he Steam Packet Company says the Manx Whale and Dolphin Watch recorded the numbers.

It adds those travelling to and from the Island might have even been lucky enough to spot one or two stunning sea creatures from our vessels’ outside decks.

The board says the Island is a nature lover’s paradise and is asking the public -  what wildlife have you spotted recently?
