Treasury Minister Chris Thomas says more than £43,000 in benefits cheques remain uncashed.
He faced a Tynwald question for written response from Ramsey MHK Lawrie Hooper about uncashed amounts and claimants.
In his response, Mr Thomas said 25 issued in January worth £1,595 remained uncashed, while February saw 122 worth a total of just over £42,000.
He said the cheques in question had been issued to 92 individuals.
