More than 3,600 operations on Island have been cancelled in the last 12 months.
The figures were confirmed in response to a written query in Tynwald yesterday.
115 were cancelled due to bed avalibility, 249 because of alteration to administration and 1,502 due to patients cancelling.
917 were cancelled the day before the operation, and 139 on the actual day.
