There needs to be a 'more strategic view' given to food security across government.
That's the view of those who attended a public meeting held by the Liberal Vannin party last week.
The meeting was mostly attended by farmers worried about the uncertainty across the Island's agricultural sector, with the gap left after the closure of Ramsey Bakery a main concern.
The political party were asked to consider having a follow up meeting in a few months' time to review progress of government policies.
