The government wants to create more facilities for students and staff cycling to and from Island schools.
The Department of Infrastructure has lodge plans to create new bike shelters at Ballakermeen High School and Ramsey Grammar School.
If approved, there would be an extra 20 bicycle spaces for pupils and 10 for staff at Ballakermeen, and a further 40 student spaces and 20 for staff at Ramsey.
The DOI says it would be part of the Active Travel Strategy which is encouraging more residents to cycle to and from destinations across the Isle of Man.
