Shoppers can now park for free in Douglas in the run up to the Christmas period.
The Department of Infrastructure is opening up the Loch Promenade walkway for parking.
Motorists can park for three hours between 9.30am and 9pm.
Entrance to the promenade is by the war memorial and the exit is by the Sea Terminal.
The cycleway has been suspended in the area until January 5th.
