The day of unveiling for a modern art sculpture in St John's has been announced.
"Eelips" (Ellipse) is set to become a landmark in the Tynwald National Park and Arboretum on Saturday, October 25.
The installation by renowned Manx artist Bryan Kneale was originally planned for a beauty spot at Niarbyl, which was met with public concern about the visual impact it would have on the landscape.
Standing at 2.5 metres tall, the solid stainless steel sculpture cost around £97,000, around two thirds of which came from a lottery-funded grant from the Isle of Man Arts Council.
