Manx Telecom says it's hoping to improve mobile data services in Ramsey with two masts.
The company's applied for planning permission to put its equipment on top of the Royal George hotel in the town.
Previously, the 3G and 4G masts were on Nightlife - but in its application MT says it's been forced to move the antennae because the building's changed hands.
In order to support the masts, part of one chimney will have to be replaced under the proposals.
