A mobile phone company's applied for permission to build a forty-foot mobile transmitter mast at Ramsey Cottage Hospital.
In a planning application, Sure Isle of Man says the mast would greatly improve the signal at the hospital as well as the surrounding area.
Its proposals would see the transmitter built on a bike shed near a building that houses generators and boilers.
The company says it's done everything it can to minimise the visual impact the mast would have in the area.
