Manx National Heritage says work is starting this week on converting a former bank into a visitor centre for Castletown.
Number 1 Market Square, which used to house a branch of Barclays, will become a new visitor hub under the plans.
On Facebook, MNH says builders will start transforming the building this week.
They'll be removing asbestos, removing internal walls, and repairing the roof.
