MLC receives New Parliamentarian of the Year Award

Tanya August-Hanson MLC has received the 2023 New Parliamentarian of the Year Award.

The Commonwealth Parliamentary Association Awards were launched last year as part of their mission to promote good governance and sharing best practice.

Miss August-Hanson was issued the award for her contributions to promoting parliamentary democracy and engagement with young people. 

CPA Chairman Juan Watterson says her pioneering work has served to foster accountability, transparency and constructive challenge.
