Home Affairs Minister Bill Malarkey says his department didn't put Ramsey Courthouse up for sale on the open market.
In Tynwald this week Treasury Minister Alf Cannan faced a number of questions on the issue - revealing the government valuer had priced the building at £400,000.
That's £75,000 less than the advertised price of the building on an estate agent's website.
Mr Malarkey also had a question for Mr Cannan in which he denied his department was behind the sale:
