Health Minister Lawrie Hooper says preparation work is underway by Braddan Commissioners to build an access route to The Roundhouse after his department shut off the road.
In response to a question in the House of Keys by South Douglas MHK Chris Thomas, Mr Hooper said it shouldn't be left to the government to solve the local authority's problems.
The commissioners say the site has been cleared, but it's waiting for a licence or land agreement to do more work.
Mr Hooper claimed the government has pulled out all the stops to support the community centre.
