36 people on the Isle of Man have died from sepsis and septicaemia in the past five years.
That's according to Health and Social Care Minister David Ashford, in written response to a question in Tynwald yesterday.
He was asked by former Health and Social Care Minister Kate Beecroft.
He revealed in 2 people died in 2013, 8 in 2014, 12 in 2015, 6 in 2016 and 8 in 2017.
