Enterprise Minister, Laurence Skelly MHK, has hailed the arrival of the Islands first Premier Inn hotel.
The building was officially opened on Thursday, with Mr Skelly saying he's proud such a big brand is helping support government confidence in the visitor and business economy.
Based on Market Street in Douglas, the 85-room complex - which also includes a thyme restaurant - is spread over six stories and has also seen 35 new jobs created there.
The structure was developed by Island-based company Dandara who handed the premises back over to Premier Inn's parent company, Whitbread, last month.
