Minister commends farmers on tackling Bovine TB

The Isle of Man has been officially declared Bovine TB free for the first time in 15 years. 

The strain of the disease affects cattle but also poses a risk to other livestock, wildlife and pets.
 
The average cost of dealing with an outbreak on a farm is around £34,000 - the clear status is seen as good news for the economy.
 
Environment, Food and Agriculture Minister Richard Ronan says outbreaks could effect the Island's meat reputation:
