A total of £2.6 million is to be spent on upgrading the National Sports Centre before it hosts the 2029 Island Games.
The funding was announced as part of the new government budget, with money also to be spent on solar panels, air source heat pumps and new lighting across sports facilities.
More than 2,000 athletes will be hosted by the Island in the tournament, with government saying the investment will make sure the NSC meets standards for international competition.
It comes as part of the Department of Education, Sport and Culture's announcement of a new ten-year strategy for sport.
Other improvements to the facility on Groves Road include a new running track and Astroturf pitch.
