 
                            A footballer from Middlesbrough who's accused of glassing a party goer in a Douglas nightclub has had his case delayed.
24-year-old Rhys Llewellyn was due to be committed to the Court of General Gaol Delivery on Tuesday however he wasn't in attendance at Douglas Courthouse.
He's previously denied a charge of assaulting the woman causing wounding at Sugar Sugar on Wellington Street on February 6th.
In addition he's also been charged with another count of assault - it's alleged he assaulted a man on the street outside on the same night.
Earlier that day the visitor had captained the Teesside football team during a match against the Isle of Man's side in Peel.
Deputy High Bailiff Jayne Hughes adjourned the case in his absence until May 3rd.
