Horse tram services in Douglas are now expected to get underway in mid to late May.
The schedule had originally been due to start on April 25 but this has been delayed whilst testing and horse training is taking place.
Officials say November 3 is still expected to be the date the season will end.
New tracks are being laid on Douglas Promenade as part of the regeneration scheme in the area.
