A debate into the future of benefits payments for people who don't have bank accounts will continue today.
Tynwald yesterday discussed a motion from Douglas East MHK Joney Faragher asking for the end of MiCards to be put back six months while the government finds alternative means to pay benefits and pensions.
The card system is due to end on Wednesday, December 31 but concerns have been raised about those who are unable to receive electronic transfers.
The court voted to continue the debate today after Chief Minister Alf Cannan asked for an adjournment.
Tynwald sits from 10am today in Legislative Buildings in Douglas.
