Following a full days debate in the House of Keys, the Assissted Dying Bill received the backing needed to progress to the next phase.
In total 17 voted for, and 7 against.
Campaigners on both sides of the argument gathered outside The House of Keys this morning to have their voices heard.
The proposed legislation has been brought forward by Ramsey MHK Dr Alex Allinson, it will now move forward to the clauses stage.
