A Castletown MHK is calling for government to support plans to grow industrial development on the Island.
Richard Ronan believes more could be made of the ports – especially the airport and around the Balthane and Ronaldsway areas.
It was an idea discussed in Tynwald earlier this week with the Chief Minister coming out in support of his plan.
Allan Bell says the framework is in place for wider development and that a fierce battle for inward investment is taking place worldwide.
However he says there have already been mistakes in this area:
