An MHK wants to see the 50th anniversary of the Millennium of Tynwald be officially celebrated.
In 1979, the Island marked one thousand years of continious parliamentary government.
Now MHK Chris Thomas wants to commemorate the fact it's been fifty years since that milestone, which will fall in 2029.
He's put forward a Tynwald motion to establish a committee which would decide the best way of celebrating the anniversary.
