MHK wants to see more referenda on Island

There should be no reason why referenda shouldn't be more liberally applied to gather public opinion.

That's the message from MHK for Douglas West Chris Thomas - who says it would strengthen the Manx democratic process before bills are either cast off, or legislation is penned into law.  
 
It works by government attaining a general vote by the electorate on a single political question - which has been referred to them to make a decision.
