Home Affairs MHK Bill Malarkey has said he will use the Summer Recession to continue working on his private members bill, which aims to give the power to elect the Chief Minister to the Manx Public.
As it stands Tynwald elect the Chief Minister, but Mr Malarkey feels it's time for change.
So far opinion on the bill is split in the House of Keys, with main opposition coming from the Chief Minister himself who described it as fundamentally flawed.
Mr Malarkey has said in the Summer break he will work on convincing his fellow MHK's that this is the right step for the Isle of Man. (audio above).
