An MHK will ask Tynwald to consider introducing a voluntary living wage on the Isle of Man.
Lawrie Hooper will ask the court to consider bringing in the measure which local businesses can 'opt into' and pay their staff a decided 'living wage'.
The Ramsey MHK believes the wage shouldn't be mandatory but something a business can do to establish themselves to customers and employees.
He says we'll have to do research as we currently don't have any idea what a living wage might look like:
