Are the Island’s sewerage systems up to standard?
That’s the question being asked by an MHK in Tynwald today.
Peter Karran has tabled a number of questions for written answer about sewage treatment.
He’ll ask Environment, Food and Agriculture Minister Phil Gawne about discharges from the Meary Veg works and whether levels of contamination will be revised in the Bathing Water Directive.
The Onchan MHK says he’s trying to find out if money has been paid out for a service that isn’t up to scratch:
