That's the question Douglas East MHK Joney Faragher wants Treasury Minister Chris Thomas to answer.
She's tabled a question for written reply after the UK said it would double the qualifying period from five to 10 years for permanent settlement.
In it, she wants to know what representations the Manx government has made to its UK counterpart over the changes.
