That's the question Arbory, Castletown and Malew MHK Jason Moorhouse will pose in the House of Keys next week.
He'll ask Treasury Minister David Ashford when the House sits on Tuesday morning.
It comes as the Island continues to see spikes in inflation, fuel, gas and electricity.
Inflation on Island currently stands at 6.5 per cent.
He'll also ask Infrastructure Minister Tim Crookall what the standard heating setting in Government buildings is.
