MHK to ask about protection for rent deposits

An MHK will quiz Infrastructure Minister Michelle Haywood about rent deposits in the House of Keys next week.

Arbory, Castletown and Malew MHK Jason Moorhouse has a question about whether a rent deposit protection scheme has been considered for the Island.

In the UK, landlords have to put rental deposits in a government-approved scheme, which holds the money until it's due to be repaid and any disputes have been resolved.

The House of Keys will sit from 10am on Tuesday, December 2 in Legislative Buildings in Douglas.
