An MHK plans to ask questions about the cleanliness of the water at beaches around the island.
Peter Karran will bring the matter to Tynwald this month when he’ll be asking how many locations fail to meet EC standards.
The Onchan politician will also be asking about the bathing area at Peel beach and whether or not consent levels for effluent discharge there are the same as for the Meary Veg sewage plant.
Mr Karran will also ask if the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture is considering sewage discharge into Peel that wouldn’t comply with Blue Flag standards.
